Sharp Corporation is introducing nine new models of LED lamps to the Japanese market by July. The nine models will feature high energy efficiency, long service life, and they are free of hazardous mercury. Because these lamps have the standard screw-in base, they can fit in the same sockets as ordinary incandescent lamps and are simple and easy to use as replacements for ordinary lamps.

The lamps come under two product names: the 600 Series LED Lamps and the 400 Series LED Lamps. The 600 series comes in models DL-L60AV, DL-L60AN, DL-L601N, and DL-L601L. The 400 series comes in models DL-L40AN, DL-L40AL, DL-L401N, and DL-L401L.

The LED lamps consume less electricity and contribute to reducing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by saving energy. The models DL-L401N/L LED Lamps can be run for approximately 11 hours at the cost of only JPY1. All models feature a service life of 40,000 hours.

The model DL-L60 AV LED Lamp will feature an adjustable Color Function to allow users to change the color of the white light emitted from the lamp using an accessory remote control. Users can select from seven different shades of white to match their preferences or need.

The model will also feature a built-in dimmer function to adjust brightness and allow users to select the illumination they would like best.

The model DL-L601N LED delivers a brightness of 560 lumens, the highest in the industry for LED lamps.
